All Saints/All Souls Days
The Christian festival of All Saints Day comes from a conviction that there is a spiritual connection between those in Heaven and on Earth. In Catholic tradition, the day honours all those who have passed on to the Kingdom of Heaven. We particularly remember those Saints who committed their life to Christ and or Christ like behaviour for the benefit of the Kingdom. Coupled with All Souls day, the church allows us to not only give thanks for the lives of the Saints, we too are given the opportunity to remember and celebrate the lives of all of those people we have lived and loved but have departed this world, in the hope of rising with Christ.
