Our school provides opportunities for students, staff and parents to know and celebrate their Catholic faith. This is done through the religious life of our school. Members of our community experience a rich liturgical and prayer life, celebration of the Sacraments, faith formation, social outreach activities, and opportunities to share faith with each other and with youth from other schools in the Archdiocese.
At Holy Spirit Catholic College Lakemba students are invited to develop their faith and deepen their understanding of the Catholic tradition by hosting whole school Eucharistic celebrations each term including the opening school Mass, Ash Wednesday, Holy Spirit Day, Feast of the Assumption, and the college’s end-of-year Mass. The school’s chapel offers members of our community the opportunity to attend Mass each Friday at Recess and gives students an opportunity to experience morning prayer held twice a week.
We work to deepen our relationships with the local Roman Catholic parishes and the Eastern Rite Catholic Churches. In particular, we have formed a close relationship with the Melkite Catholic Eparchy and the parish of St John the Beloved, Greenacre.
